Parish Leadership
The Church of the Good Shepherd is led by a 12-member lay Vestry. Vestry members are elected at the annual meeting in January to serve three-year terms.
The Vestry is an elected representative body that acts as the legal agent for the parish. Some liken it to being for the parish what a city/town council is for a city or town. At CGS, our vestry consists of 12 members: three sets of four that rotate off every three years. This ensures we have fresh voices with every new year while also maintaining a presence of institutional knowledge. The Vestry meets on the fourth Monday of each month, and parishioners are welcome to sit in on the meetings. Look for members of the Vestry when you're visiting CGS. They'd love to hear what's on your mind.
