2025 CGS Family Weekend at the Trinity Center * September 19-21, 2025
On September 19-21, you are your family are warmly invited to Church of the Good Shepherd’s annual Family Weekend at the Trinity Center on the South Outer Banks. Situated on sixty-two gorgeous acres nestled between the ocean and the sound, this island refuge is truly one of the gems of the Episcopal Church. Stay in comfortable guest houses tucked beneath a canopy of live oak trees; go sunbathing on pristine beaches; explore peaceful hiking trails; and watch the sun set from an outdoor chapel overlooking the sound.
Over the course of the weekend, Good Shepherd will provide a full schedule of worship opportunities, discussion groups, and meditation sessions as well as games and crafts for kids, social gatherings, plenty of outdoor activities. Everything is offered ala carte, however, and each participant is invited to craft their own experience. While some may spend most of their time on the beach or at the pool, others will seek out prayer groups and walk the labyrinth. Our intent is to create space for your whole family to be nourished in body, mind, and spirit.
Good Shepherd has reserved thirty private rooms in the conference center, each featuring one single and one double bed and a private bathroom. The rooms are grouped in four clusters, each situated around a common living room with comfy couches, a kitchen, and a fireplace, perfect for after-hours gatherings, movie watching, or just hanging out. All meals are
provided in the Trinity Dining Room.
There may also be an option for a group of families to stay together in one of the camp cabins at a significantly reduced rate.
