Wake County Drop-In Shelter
The Women’s Center is now operating Wake County’s drop-in overnight shelter
for men and women 18+ on a temporary basis. This change is due to the Second
Street Shelter renovation, expected to last through October 2026. The new drop-in shelter site is:
211 Bramer Drive in Raleigh, accessible by the GoRaleigh Bus #14 (Atlantic Ave and Bramer Dr stop).
Operating hours for the overnight shelter are 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.
The Women’s Center Day Shelter program will also operate out of the Bramer Drive
building, ensuring that women have consistent access to essential daytime resources, support, and
services. The Recuperative Respite program will continue to operate out of the 2200 New Bern Ave
location (phone 919-829-3711 for Recuperative Respite program only).
