Then little children were being brought to him in order that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples spoke sternly to those who brought them; but Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.

Children's Sunday School
Sunday School classes for children age 3 years through 5th grade meet on most Sunday mornings from 9 to 10 a.m. on the second floor of the Parish Life Center. Classes run September through May with a summer break. Nursery care is available during the Sunday School hour. (Click HERE to access the parish calendar that includes the Sunday School schedule.)
Children's Chapel
Our Children's Chapel Godly Play program, open to children age 4 years through 2nd grade, takes place on Sunday mornings during the 10:15 am worship service. Children are invited to gather after the Collect and follow the cross together to the Children's Chapel. They return after the Prayers of the People.
Godly Play invites children to wonder about stories of faith and the people of God through creative storytelling. The Children's Chapel utilizes two adult volunteers each week, one to be the greeter and the other the storyteller.
Youth Choir
Youth in 3rd-12th grades are invited to participate in this choir, which rehearses on Sunday afternoons. Youth Choir sings approximately once a month at the 10:15 a.m. worship service as well at special events such as the Lessons and Carols service and the annual Christmas Pageant.
Splash Dinners
Splash dinners are a time of fun and fellowship for Good Shepherd families with children under the age of 3 years. Dinners are held quarterly on Sunday nights in Shepherd's Hall. The meal is provided at no cost, but donations to offset the expense of the meal are appreciated. Children are invited to run around Shepherd's Hall, which we transform into a mini-playground, full of toys and fun! Splash dinners are a wonderful way to meet and connect with other parish families with very young children.
