Welcome!
Welcome to The Church of the Good Shepherd! We celebrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ as a loving family in this spiritual home. We extend a warm invitation to all -- visitors seeking a place to worship
and those who wish to explore deeper and become an integral part of our
church community. We have an active and energetic membership with diverse backgrounds, interests and perspectives.
We are located in the heart of downtown Raleigh, North Carolina's Capitol City, and have been an active and growing church since 1874. Check out the Fast Info menu section above, especially Announcements, to get the latest information on what's happening this week and other important parish events. Our Service Schedule is found here.
Please join us as we seek to serve Christ in all elements of our worship, fellowship, and study. We have a wide range of programs for both adults and children and invite you to explore what we have to offer.
- Like to make a joyful noise? Check out our music program. We welcome all ages and abilities.
- Our parish involvement in outreach is extensive. There are over 20 programs in which our members provide care, support, and service throughout the community. To many, we are known for housing the Shepherd's Table Soup Kitchen which provides a hot weekday meal to over 300 people daily. We're also very active in supporting migrant farm workers as well as Episcopal Campus Ministry.
- We continue to grow and are very excited about our Parish Life Center. Its four floors hold classroom and meeting space for all of our programs. We also host many community events here as well. Trying to find a classroom or the parish office in the building? Here's a building layout.
- Need someone or something quickly? Call the church offices at 919-831-2000. For less urgent needs and questions, look in our Who Do I Call listing or see the About Us section for direct contact info for all leaders and staff.
Now that you have found The Church of the Good Shepherd online, please join us this Sunday and let us welcome you in person. We hope you'll make Good Shepherd your church home.
