When: August 30, 2009, immediately after the 10 a.m. service
Where: Parish Life Center - Shepherd's Hall
Who: All-parish event. There will be something for everyone.
Why: Food, fellowship, funds to benefit the mission and ministry of the church. This year, proceeds will go out of parish to the Shepherd's Table Soup Kitchen (local), the Lex Mathews Scholarship (diocese wide), and work that the Mother's Union in Botswana is doing on malaria control (international); and will stay in-parish towards the Duncan Giersch Parish Life Center Fund.
Raffle: A big part of the fun at the ECW Awesome Auction will be raffles for:

  • Garmin nuvi 255W GPS System - $10 / ticket
    This is one of the top rated GPS systems and is valued at $220. It has the 4.3 wide screen color display and spoken street names. The unit comes with a dash mount and power cable. We will only sell 100 tickets, so your chances are good to win this GPS for yourself or as a gift to your spouse, kid, parent or friend.
  • $50 Target Gift Certificate - $2 / ticket
  • 1 of 4 Sunday Parking Spaces - $1 / ticket
    We will draw four tickets, one for each of the fall months, to have your own Sunday parking spot in the back parking lot.

Tickets for chances will be sold immediately after the 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. services up to the day of the auction. You don't need to be present at the drawing to win.
Schedule:
9 a.m.   Doors open for silent auction bids
11:30 a.m.   Lunch (no set charge, donations gladly accepted)

12:15 p.m.- until   Live auction begins - come watch Buck Lattimore in auctioneer action
Silent auction and raffle winners announced at end of live auction

Sealed bids: If you can't make it to the auction, sealed bids will be accepted until noon, Sunday, August 30. You may submit a bid to in person or by email to Kathy MacLeod 787-7012 / . Make sure to note the item you're after and the maximum amount you're willing to pay.

Baby-sitting: Nursery care will continue until 2 p.m.
