A native of Norfolk, Bob has served as the rector at the Church of the Good Shepherd since 1996. Bob earned his bachelor's degree from Randolph-Macon College, his master's of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary, and his Doctor of Ministry from Biblical Life College and Seminary. Bob has served in parishes in South Carolina, Virginia, and North Carolina. Bob and his wife, Linda, have two adult children, Jeremy and Morgan.
The Rev. William D. Bennett, Jr.

A native of Rocky Mount, Bill joined our staff in 1999. Bill is entrusted with the mission of developing ministry with single adults, families, and new members. Bill is a graduate of East Carolina University and received his master’s degree from the University of the South. Bill was ordained in 1994 and served several small mission congregations in the Diocese of Georgia prior to joining Good Shepherd’s staff.
The Rev. Miriam Saxon

Miriam and her husband, John, live in Hillsborough and have two grown children. Miriam received her MDiv from Duke and also attended Virginia Theological Seminary. Miriam was ordained to the priesthood in December 2007. Miriam will be working 1/2 time at Good Shepherd. Her office hours will be 9am to 2:30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
