Join the Green Team on Friday, November 7 at the Walnut Creek Wetland Educational Center and Nature Park.

Often environmental stories are sad and depressing, but we have a good news story that is the result of Episcopalians partnering with grassroots organizations to restore wetlands, resulting in the beautiful Walnut Creek Wetland Educational Center and Nature Park.

Come and learn with us:

• The historic development of the Wetland Park
• The role of St. Ambrose as an Episcopal church in the development of the Wetland Park
• The role of the Wetland Park in the watershed
• Ongoing cleanup efforts to support the Wetland Park
• The status of the Wetland Park today
• Plans for the future

Details:

• When: Friday, November 7th
• Time: 10:30am – tour lasts approximately 90 minutes
• Where: 950 Peterson Street, Raleigh, NC 27616 (phone: 919-996-2760)
• Details: We will gather in the Educational Center for a presentation followed by a gentle walk through the wetlands. Much of the park has trails that are paved with easy inclines.
